Sailing in Kos (Greece)
We invite you to a different kind of adventure - this time on sea - for a week long, together with your best (6) friends. We will sail together among the islands in Dodecanese archipelago in Greece. Our departure port is right in the middle in Kos island.
Dodecanese (the 12) islands are a hidden gem in the South East parto of Greece, right at the Turkish border. We will have shorter distances between the North islands and longer towards the South. So, there is something for everyone. Join us for a incredible blue sea, charming harbors or famous Greek cuisine.
How a sailing week looks line ?
It is a different kind of Holiday. That kind when during a week we will navigate by the power of winds from a magic destination to another. Depending of your wishes we will spend between 2 and 8 hours daily. The rest we will either spend at anchor in a remote bay, or docked in a charming fishing village or a small harbor.
Aboard you will have the comfort you are expecting from a small hotel room. Our cabins have a double bed or, depending on the boat separate bunks. You will have access to a bathroom with hot shower, a small kitchen and a living room, a relaxing space on deck and cockpit. However... space is limited aboard! From this very reason the main secret for a successful sailing trip is a good spirit among the crew.
About our boat - Siesta
Despite the fact that we can rent any boat for you and your friends, we will always opt to sail on our boat named Siesta. She is a Bavaria 38 (12 m boat) with 3 cabins, one bathroom , a living and a small kitchen. You can see her in the attached pictures.
Proposed itinerary
Day 1 - Arrival in Kos, boarding after 17.00 and dinner together in the city center
Day 2 - Starting in the morning we will sail towards Vathy bay on Kalimnos Island. Before that we will stop for a swim and lunch on Pserimos island - 28 km.
Day 3 - Sailing arround Kalymnos we will reach Leros island with stop on the way to hidden beaches. We will spend the night in Lakki - 48 km
Day 4 - Sailing further away towards Patmnos island with its famous monasteries and beaches
Day 5 - we will either spend the day ashore to explore Patmos or we will sail towards the charming island of Lipsi - 30 km
Day 6 - the time has come to sail back towards the South towards Leros (famous for its great restaurants, among other - 23 km
Day 7 - Is the last day on sea, when we will sail back towards Kos marina with a swim & lunch break on Pserimos. We will spend the evening in Kos marina - 52 km
What is included in the price
All boat expenses (and of course your accomodation for one week): A place in a double cabin, cleaning tax, toursit tax, marina fees, insurances, skipper fees, diesel costs. What is not included id the way to and from the marina and your food.
